Data sources & licences
Nexted starts with a small catalogue in every category. Previously installed browser-local packs are reused. On suitable unmetered connections, Film and Anime can add more results automatically; other packs remain optional. Installed data can disappear if browser storage is cleared, quota is exhausted, or a private session closes. Search terms stay in your browser in local mode. Catalogue, model and artwork requests still use the network and can reveal the chosen category or selected work.
Source metadata, contributed descriptions and artwork can have different rights. Nexted does not redistribute third-party cover images through these packs. Missing artwork is shown as a text cover. Optional online search sends your search terms to Nexted and the relevant provider. Individual work details retain source, artwork and description links where needed.

Manami data is a dated ODbL/DbCL snapshot. Derived Anime metadata remains source attributed and subject to its share-alike and database obligations. CMU film summaries are attributed under CC BY-SA; ordinary result cards show only a short opening excerpt, with full plots held outside the browser pack. Discogs metadata is CC0, while bulk artwork is not included. Open Library catalogue contributions target CC0, but contributed text and third-party material may have separate rights. MusicBrainz core and derived data have distinct licences and are never silently combined.
Starter and optional online sources
TVmaze TV show data is CC BY-SA; individual TVmaze work links remain in details, with this source and licence notice. Wikidata structured facts are CC0. Wikipedia descriptions and Wikimedia Commons images can carry separate CC licences; work-level description and artwork credits remain next to the affected details.
Open Library catalogue metadata is intended for open reuse, while contributions and covers can have separate rights. Cover images are linked from Open Library; individual work links remain in details. Apple iTunes artwork is promotional material associated with store content, and the Music details retain store links. Optional TMDB access stays disabled without its separate AI-use approval; its required API notice is on About. Trakt is an optional trending source, not part of the downloadable catalogue.
Reproducible transformations and the pack manifest format are documented in the source repository. Public packs, when hosted, can be downloaded from their manifest URL and shards. Catalogue eligibility is not a statement of permission for model training.
